STUMPTOWN UNDERGROUND
About the Editors
Christina "Blue" Crow is your typical Portlander in the mid of her twenties and has lived in Portland for over 6 years. Before Portland, her life was rather wandering, but Portland is so wonderful that she has stayed. She likes to ride bikes, teach kids how to make comics, make music with fine folks, eat lots of vegan food, collect dinosaurs, run around in costumes, be rather slutty even though she's a romantic, read comics, pet any cat she sees (she has two of her own Mona Mia and Wesley Dodds), go to comic and/or zine conventions, run around with kids all day, plan events, write letters (write her one), practice riding her unicycle, make gifts for friends, and chit chat over beers. You may also know her from Portland Zine Symposium, Stumptown Comics Festival, and riding really fast by you on her red Cannondale. She is also very easily stalked.
Katie Ash is an editor for Stumptown Underground, an organizer for the Portland Zine Symposium, and a writer of zines. Born and raised in Virginia, she has lived in Portland for one year, and now spends most of her time sending letters, folding paper cranes, and riding bikes.
Katy Ellis O'Brien is a painter and cartoonist from backwoods Oregon. In addition to being an editor for Stumptown Underground, she designed our logo and this website. You can view her online portfolio, follow her on MySpace or Facebook, or buy her artwork on Etsy.
Andy Johnson has an irrational fear of soup, but desperately hopes nobody will ever find out. He also owns Cosmic Monkey Comics and helps organize Stumptown Comics Fest. Mostly though he just sits around and worries about soup.
Kirsten Smith is a native oregonian and near portlander (growing up in the burbs almost counts), but spent recent years far away on the east coast. She is glad to be back on her home turf and is taking in the delicious food and drink, bike riding and breathtaking views, along with all the local friendliness that portland has to offer. She loves interacting with strangers in personal ways, and finds zining a great way to do it! You can often find her at north portland karaoke joints, late night blues dancing, or gathered with good friends wherever they happen to be.
